It is suitable for installation in homes near sources of a potential gas leak, such as a furnace, water heater, stove, oven, or area where gas enters the building. The detector features a short recheck cycle that helps to prevent false alarms from brief "puffs" of explosivegases. If high levels of explosive gases remain after recheck, the detector will alarm.
